Screenshot of a Bluesky profile menu with “Hide reposts in feeds” circled in yellow. Text says: “Not interested in someone’s Reposts? Go to the ‘…’ beside their profile & choose ‘Hide Reposts’.” Bottom text reads: “More tips in https://bluesky.leaflet.pub/”

I usually appreciate reposts, especially if someone is consistent in what type of content they repost, or don't repost too often. "Too often" is subjective, of course.

I also do straight reposts in my own feed, usually if I don't have anything useful to add to someone else's post, or if I'm boosting one of my own posts that I really want people to see. If someone wants to hide these reposts in my feed, I have no problem with that...and would, in fact, encourage it if that's what they prefer.

However, I'm not a fan of following accounts that ONLY do reposts. While it's great to boost other people's content sometimes, I also am not interested in following anyone who doesn't sometimes post their own original content. But that's just me.

Thanks to Bluesky for giving us the option!
